G16-13 Liebherr Oil Pump Testing Fixture for Common Rail Pump Test Benches

The G16-13 is a testing fixture for Liebherr oil pumps, made to mount the pump on a common rail test bench. The flange works with internal oil circulation, the spline sleeve couples straight to the pump shaft, and the socket bits cover pump head and roller body work. Lubrication with engine oil is required. One set weighs 22 kg and ships in a 35 x 30 x 28 cm carton.

What Is in the Set

1. Fixture body with flange and O-ring - the steel body that clamps the pump to the bench and carries the internal oil circulation path.

Design and Working Principle

The flange connection is built for oil internal circulation, and the coupling section adds oil collection and circulation function, so the oil is driven around the pump and back instead of being lost. That circulation keeps the pump lubricated and cooled during the test and gives the pump good protection over a long test session. The spline direct shaft coupling design removes the intermediate adapter between the fixture and the pump, which keeps the drive line short and clean on the bench. Engine oil must be used as the lubricant during testing.

The G16-13 is built for the reference pumps 10146600-000 and 1710064570 and matches the high pressure common rail pumps of Liebherr D924, D924T, D934, D934T, D936, D946, D926, D9508 and D9512 engines. In machine terms the coverage reaches the Liebherr R924, R926, R934, R936, R946, R9508 and R9512 excavators and the L538, L550, L566 and L580 wheel loaders. Closely related OEM pump numbers found on the same engines are 10150741 and 10150857 for D934 and D936, 10116257 also known as 0414755016 and 0414755118 for D934 and D936 on L538, L580, R944 and R954, and 10141137 and 10133547 for D934 A7. The fixture is applicable to all common rail test benches.

How the G16-13 Is Used

The fixture is bolted to the bench, the pump is clamped on the flange, the spline sleeve is fitted to the pump shaft and the selected driver bit is used for pump head removal, roller body positioning or feed pump disassembly. Engine oil is filled into the circulation path before the bench runs the pump. The pump is then driven and its delivery and pressure are measured by the bench instrumentation while the circulating oil cools and lubricates the pump. The same fixture therefore covers both the test bench and the overhaul bench of a common rail pump workshop.

Scope Note

The G16-13 is a mounting and coupling fixture for Liebherr oil pumps. It holds the pump, drives it and supplies the lubrication circuit; it is not an injector test bench and it does not measure injector spray quantity, generate injector codes or replace the pressure and flow instrumentation of the test bench. Injector function checks still need the matching injector test bench, and pump flow and pressure measurement still need the common rail pump test bench itself.
