1. What is the G4-108 DAF F2P Simple Repair Kit?

The BEACON G4-108 DAF F2P Simple Repair Kit is a precision service kit designed for the on-vehicle repair and spring pre-load adjustment of DAF F2P series solenoid-operated common rail injectors used in PACCAR MX-11 and MX-13 Euro 6 engines.

2. DAF F2P Common Rail Injector Background

The "F2P" designation refers to the latest family of common rail injectors fitted to the PACCAR MX-11 (10.8L) and PACCAR MX-13 (12.9L) Euro 6 engines, which power the current DAF XF 106, XF 105 (late Euro 6), CF 85, CF 75 and CF 65 truck ranges.

Compared with the older F2 injector generation (Euro 4 / Euro 5, MX 12.6L platforms), the F2P family operates at a substantially higher rail pressure (up to 2500 bar) and uses a 16-hole micro-orifice nozzle with multi-event injection. The solenoid response time is well under 0.2 ms, which gives much tighter injection-quantity control but also means that any change to the solenoid spring pre-load directly alters injection quantity, response and rail-pressure stability.

This is why DAF, Bosch and PACCAR dealers insist that F2P injectors returning to the workshop must have the solenoid spring re-shimmed to the exact original thickness — typically between 1.00 mm and 1.40 mm. The G4-108 is built to do exactly that job.
